Ok! Why does Kino not throw the pearl away when Juana asks him to? Is he to proud or is he greedy?
I think that Kino didn't want the people to say: "He said that he would do great things and now look at him, he is back to square one!" Well thats just what I think!

Bethy you have to realize that kino has huge hopes for the future espeicially for his son coyotito. To throw away his sons future.
